A Bold Expansion into the Tractor Market: Continuing the Value of Precision, From Field to Field
30 years of craftsmanship and Hosan’s precision technology combine to usher in an era of precision farming for field crops.
Hosan Vision has once again raised the banner of innovation. Having long cultivated Korea’s leading precision agriculture technology in the rice transplanter attachment market, Hosan Vision is now leveraging that expertise to launch a full-scale expansion into the dynamically growing tractor market. At the heart of this bold expansion is the “Tractor Herbicide Sprayer,” developed under the leadership of Vice President Dohyeon Dohyeon.

The landscape of domestic agriculture is rapidly changing. The focus is shifting from rice farming to mechanization, large-scale farming, and precision farming. With increasing demand for tractors, a key component of field work, farmers are now asking themselves:
“Just like in the fields, shouldn’t we be able to perform precise weeding without wasting pesticides in the fields as well ?”
In particular, the labor shortage during the busy farming season due to an aging population has fueled explosive interest in tractor operation efficiency and automated control solutions. This pressing demand and inevitable market growth provided Hosan Vision with a clear reason to enter the tractor attachment market.

Precisely applying herbicides during field work using tractors has been a challenging “field challenge.” This is due to the vast width of the field, the extreme variations in ground elevation, and, most importantly, the inherently strong vibration of tractors, which makes it difficult to evenly apply herbicides at a consistent rate and volume. However, Hosan Vision has already accumulated precision spraying and quantitative control technology for 20 years in the field of rice transplanter side-row fertilizer applicators and herbicide/insecticide sprayers.
Manager Do Hyun-dae perfectly redesigned this precious “DNA of precision farming technology” to suit the field work environment. Manager Do Hyun-dae, who led the development, is a living history, having worked in agricultural machinery development at Kukje General Machinery and TYM for over 30 years. He recalled the difficulty of this tractor project as follows:
“The tractor market is completely different from that of rice transplanters. There are far more variables involved, from vibrations and work patterns to crop types. That’s why we approached it from the beginning with the mindset of ‘let’s hear the answers in the field’s language.'”

Hosan Vision has taken on a new challenge, expanding its 20-year expertise in precision agriculture into the tractor attachment market. As Vice President Dohyeon Do stated, the tractor herbicide sprayer isn’t simply a new product; it represents Hosan Vision’s heartfelt commitment to breaking down barriers between fields and rice paddies, bringing the benefits of precision agriculture to all farmers.
| Core technologies | Expanding rice transplanter know-how | Field application value (precision agriculture) |
|---|---|---|
| Left and right independent ‘double fan’ structure | Precision direction control technology | Precise adjustment of working width from 4m to 15m without shaking due to wind and vibration |
| Vibration compensation ‘precision roll’ structure | 20 years of quantitative control technology integration | Maintains uniform spray density regardless of tractor vibration |
| 25L extra large hopper | Support for long-term continuous operation | With the largest capacity in the country, the number of replenishments is drastically reduced , and labor fatigue is reduced. |
| Break function for each group | Implementation of precision control by area | Spray only where needed, saving chemicals and protecting the environment |
