Accelerating the growth of data-driven agricultural solutions companies from traditional agricultural machinery suppliers such as field surveyors, herbicide sprayers, and autonomous driving kits.

We want to lead the development and field expansion of smart agricultural machinery, creating an agricultural environment where farming is done with cutting-edge technology.

Hosan Vision Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Byeong-ho, Okcheon-eup, North Chungcheong Province) achieved technological independence by successfully producing the first domestically produced side-fertilizer for a riding rice transplanter. Founded in 2003 as “Hosan Tech,” the company changed its name to “Hosan Vision” in 2022 following its transition to a second-generation management system, and is poised to become a leading agricultural solutions provider.
In 2007, when Japanese products dominated the market, Hosan Vision developed a self-developed irrigation system, marking a turning point in the agricultural machinery market, which had been dominated by foreign products. The product is now in its seventh generation and maintains the leading domestic market share. Its technological prowess has been recognized, with suppliers including Daedong, LS Mtron, and TYM.
CEO Park Byeong-ho, who majored in electronic engineering, has solidified his position through extensive practical experience, spanning product development, production, and sales. Since taking office, he has integrated electronic control technology into traditional agricultural machinery and strengthened his investment in AI-based technologies. This has not only enhanced the performance of existing products, including electronic upgrades to mechanical products, the development of the “Compass” autonomous driving kit, and improved fertilizer roll design to minimize fertilizer dust, but has also led to the development of new products, such as herbicide sprayers for tractors, expanding the scope of the business beyond rice farming to include field farming and smart agricultural machinery.
The recently released pesticide sprayer, a culmination of continuous technological development, is recognized as a groundbreaking device that enhances work efficiency and safety. By simultaneously applying pesticide and spraying onto the seedbed, it reduces the burden on the worker, minimizes pesticide loss, and reduces the risk of pesticide exposure. The spray pump’s volume can be adjusted from 1 to 27 levels via remote control, enabling precise dosing control within ±2g.
Recently, Hosan Vision was selected as the main organization for the development project of the ‘AI-based nutrient diagnosis and optimal fertilization full-cycle integrated self-propelled variable-rate fertilization smart package’ by the National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology Planning and Evaluation.
Hosan Vision’s “Smart Package for Autonomous Variable Fertilizer,” currently under development, is an integrated, next-generation agricultural solution featuring accurate nutrient diagnosis through AI analysis, an unmanned, autonomous system, mobile connectivity, and real-time control. It is recognized as a key technology for transforming traditional farming, which relied on farmer experience, into data-driven precision agriculture. It is expected to reduce overuse of fertilizers, simultaneously contributing to environmental conservation and economic efficiency.
Through this project, Hosan Vision plans to further advance its technological capabilities and advance them to the commercialization and industrialization stages.
Hosan Vision’s competitiveness stems from its “field-centered development.” CEO Park emphasizes, “True technology is technology that farmers can experience firsthand.” From the early stages of development, they incorporate farmer feedback to enhance functionality and durability, and even after product launch, they continue to improve performance.
The after-sales service system is also robust. By structuring production personnel to handle after-sales service, we’ve improved service quality. To ensure that even products older than 15 years are serviced, one of our five factories is operated as a parts storage facility. We’ve established a flexible operating system that prioritizes production efficiency during the off-season and enhanced on-site response during the peak season.
CEO Park dedicates 5% of annual profits to R&D and social contribution. In the mid- to long-term, he plans to further enhance AI and data-driven smart farming technologies. He is also considering diversifying his business into a broader range of agricultural solutions, including nutritional supplements and agricultural supplies.
“We live in an era where if we don’t change, we’ll be left behind. By integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI and big data with our agricultural machinery expertise, we aim to lead the development and widespread adoption of smart agricultural machinery, creating an agricultural environment where farming thrives on cutting-edge technology.”
