Hosan Vision Launches Korea’s First Domestically Produced Rice Transplanter Attached Insecticide Sprayer

  • “Successfully commercializing domestic technology, breaking free from dependence on foreign equipment.”
  • Setting a new standard by proving work efficiency and economic feasibility.

Hosan Vision, a precision agricultural machinery company, announced the launch of its 2026 model of the “Rice Transplanter Attachment Insecticide Sprayer (Seedling Bed Treatment Sprayer),” the first of its kind in Korea. While domestic agricultural practices have historically relied on imported products from Japan and elsewhere, this launch marks a turning point, as it marks the commercialization of the first equipment manufactured using domestic technology.

◇ Field-centered design reflecting farmers’ needs

This product was developed to address farmers’ long-standing needs for accurate spraying, ease of use, and a healthy work environment. The insecticide sprayer can simultaneously apply precise amounts of insecticide and fungicide to seedbeds during transplanting, dramatically reducing the manual burden on workers and minimizing pesticide loss.

In particular, the spraying radius and amount of chemicals can be adjusted from ‘1 to 27 levels’ with a single remote control, and ‘quantitative control in units of ±2g’ is possible, ensuring uniform spraying quality for each seedling.

◇ Differentiated technology

Hosan Vision applied its “20 years of ventilation transport technology” to this equipment. This ensures smooth, unobstructed movement of pesticides, while also suppressing pesticide scattering, significantly reducing worker respiratory exposure. This design is significant because it goes beyond mere mechanical efficiency and considers farmers’ health. Furthermore, the simplified structure facilitates easy maintenance and ensures stability even over long periods of use.

◇ Development based on farmer opinions

During the new product development process, Hosan Vision focused on ensuring practicality and effectiveness by directly listening to the opinions of farmers nationwide. As a result, the product was designed around three key objectives: reduced work time, simplified management, and enhanced worker safety.

◇ Results proven through empirical research

The results confirmed through field trials are also noteworthy. This equipment demonstrated a 15% reduction in pesticide use, a more than 20% reduction in labor, and the effectiveness of mitigating early-stage pest damage. Furthermore, it demonstrated a 40% increase in the production rate of consistent-quality seedlings, demonstrating its potential to directly contribute to increased farm income and productivity.

◇ A new standard created with domestic technology

In a pesticide sprayer market virtually monopolized by Japanese brands, Hosan Vision has presented a new option by introducing precision agricultural machinery developed using domestic technology. Industry insiders are acclaiming this new product as a “symbolic achievement of domestic agricultural machinery technology” and anticipate it will have a ripple effect across the entire smart agricultural machinery sector.
